The Ella Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship in Music

The purpose of the fund is to support The Ella Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship in Music in the College of Arts and Letters. The scholarship will support 1 (one) undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Music and/or Music Education. The scholarship will stay with the student until graduation, or 4 (four) years, whichever comes first, as long as student abides by the scholarship guidelines. Selection of scholarship recipient will be at the discretion of the College of Arts and LettersΓÇÖ Music Department.

The Ella Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship in Music will support 1 (one) undergraduate student (The Ella Fitzgerald Scholar) pursuing a degree in Music and/or Music Education with an award of $7,000 per academic year (award divided between Fall and Spring). The Scholar must be a California resident or Dreamer, qualify for in-state tuition, and be eligible to attend a public university. The Scholar must maintain a 2.5 (ΓÇ£C+ΓÇ¥) average or better each semester during their time at Cal State LA. If the Scholar fails to maintain a 2.5 average each semester, he/she will be placed on probation with the program for one semester. The Scholar will receive the scholarship funds for the semester they are on probation. If the Scholar fails to improve his/her GPA, he/she will be dropped from the program.
