Robert L. Douglass Scholarship Fund

The Robert L. Douglass Scholarship Fund will be used to support students in the graduate program in Communication Disorders at Cal State LA. All students are eligible for consideration, provided that they are completing requirements for the M.A. degree in speech-language pathology. Apllicants will have demonstrated academic and/or clinical excellence in those courses already completed in the area of speech-language pathology. Primary consideration should be given by the faculty to students who demonstrate superior clinical potential, are innovative, inquisitive, and independent, open to a variety of views regarding therapy and possess sensitivity to the needs of clients and parents. Because knowledge of the students clinical abilities is important in determining who will receive the award, it is expected that the recipient will be a second year graduate student who has already completed at least two quarters of on-campus clinical practicum. However, in unusual circumstances, a firts year students will be eligible for this award.
